Challenge
At the height of COVID, Fullbasket identified a need for hyperlocal grocery delivery by combining impulse snacks with daily essentials delivered in minutes. While the concept was compelling and early funding secured, the team lacked a functional app and cohesive brand identity. The challenge was to translate a scrappy, high-speed service model into a clear, trustworthy experience that could resonate at a neighborhood level while supporting rapid iteration and real-world testing.
Through research and creative exploration, the brand direction drew from familiar supermarket signage by grounding the experience in something instantly recognizable. A hand-crafted illustration style and logo system brought warmth and locality, while a cohesive visual identity extended across icons and UI. The result was a fully designed, test-ready app that balanced speed, clarity, and charm that positioned Fullbasket as both convenient and community-driven.
